The Boys' Growing Up in the Lord

I am growing (as far as I know) but I haven't increased in height yet. And now I am feeling embarrased because everyone else in my school with the same age as me (12 turning 13) are taller than me (but not all of them). What is wrong? I really want to grow tall. Most my classmates are always asking me why I'm so short.

Have someone help you measure yourself with your shoes off. Do it once a month for a while, then you'll be able to see that you are progressing. But don't worry. The average boy doesn't hit his growth spurt until he is 13 or 14. Boys who are growing tall sooner usually end up shorter as adults. That is because as children you grow 1 to 2 inches every year. When you start early, you start from a shorter height and, hence, don't reach as tall of a final height.

Don't worry about the teasing. You'll grow as God designed you.
