I am 18 years old and I am training for the army. As you know it requires a lot of energy and stamina. I am also in sports. I try to control my thoughts, but if I don't ejaculate I feel irritable and feels like life is horrible. I don't even watch porn or such other activities.
So my question is: If I ejaculate daily, or twice a week, or twice a month, will my stamina be reduced? Are my energy levels reduced? What do I need to do to gain a lot of energy or stamina if I had a wet dream or masturbate the day before I train? Does ejaculation cause any problems in future?
The need to ejaculate rises as you seminal vesicles fill with semen. What you perceive as a need to ejaculate is the gradual increase of certain hormones in your blood. When you ejaculate those hormone levels suddenly drop very low and then begin to rise again.
When those hormones that cause you to desire to ejaculate rise, they also affect your mood. Yes, you can get more irritable; that just means you need to exercise more self-control.
However, none of this affect your energy or stamina. Studies have been done to show that ejaculating the day before an event does not affect a person's energy levels. "a 1995 study published in the Journal of Sports Medicine and Physical Fitness showed there was no difference in performance between subjects having sex hours before they were given a test on a treadmill and those that didn't" ["Does Sex Before An Athletic Event Really Hinder Performance?"]. "The results from a 1995 randomized cross-over study suggested that sexual intercourse 12 hours prior to the test had no significant effects on maximal aerobic power, oxygen pulse, or double product" ["Effects of sexual intercourse on maximal aerobic power, oxygen pulse, and double product in male sedentary subjects"]. What is interesting is that when a man goes three months or more without ejaculating, his testosterone levels drop dramatically, which can harm performance. But in general, ejaculating does not affect your testosterone levels.
Where the myth that ejaculating affects sports can be traced back to jocks who spent the night before a big event having sex. It isn't the sex, but the lack of sleep that impacted their performance.
There is some question if there is a psychological affect, but no one has studied this yet. It is more difficult to quantify because different guys have different views regarding ejaculation, so their expectations causes them to draw different conclusions.
Thank you very much for replying. I am very thankful to you.
