Question:

Hello, I’m 13 and on my left testicle in the epididymis, I feel a little small ball. I just want to know what is it. It doesn’t hurt.

Answer:

Is it hard or is is soft?

Question:

It’s kind of hard and if I grab the little ball it hurts a little, but it moves a lot.

Answer:

It sounds like a cyst of some sort. A cyst is an inflammation that can be caused by a variety of reasons — most of which are not important problems. A few causes can be early warning signs of an important problem. Therefore, I would like you to see your doctor and have him figure out which type of cyst you have and what he thinks is the likely cause. Most likely he will tell you that it isn’t anything to worry about, but I would rather you hear that from your doctor.

Question:

Yeah! Thanks!

I went to the doctor and he said it was most likely a cyst. To be sure he sent me to get an ultrasound. I just want to ask what are the symptoms of a cancerous cyst.

Answer:

Cysts aren’t caused by cancer. They are a swelling in a tube or other structure, usually due to a blockage.
