I have pornography on my screen but I don’t really ejaculate to it

Question:

For the past few days, I’ve ejaculated with porn on my desktop screen, but even though it was on my screen I wasn’t really looking at it; rather, I used to look something other than my desktop screen. Moreover, when I ejaculate I don’t really get those porn images in my mind. I just have porn on my screen, but I don’t look at it and neither do any of the images come in my mind when I ejaculate, so can this possibly be an improvement? If not please help me.

Answer:

Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons, speaking lies in hypocrisy, having their own conscience seared with a hot iron, …” (I Timothy 4:1-2).

What Paul is warning about is that sometimes we fool ourselves. We act like something doesn’t affect us when it really does. The word “hypocrisy” means to put on an act. The reason is that we have exposed ourselves to something sinful so often that it no longer bothers us. The first few times you pick up a hot pan, it hurts, but after a while, you get calloused to the feeling and it no longer bothers you. In the same way, the first few times you lie, you conscious bothers you, but after a while, you lie without thinking about it.

You’ve gotten so deep into pornography that you keep pictures of it in front of you all the time. You’ve become numb to its presence, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t affecting you. The problem is that you aren’t convinced that pornography itself is sinful. See: Lies Pornography Tells Men. Improvement is when you get rid of the pornography from your daily life.
