I’m concerned about my height and the length of my penis

Question:

I’m concerned about my height and think about it often. I’m 16 and about 5’4″, 114 lbs.

Also, I feel very self-conscience about my penis; it measures about 5-5.5 inches. Is this normal? Will my penis grow anymore? If not, is there anything I can do to make it longer?

Answer:

Humans don’t grow directly based on time. Things roughly happen in certain age ranges, but two people can be exactly the same age and be in vastly different stages of development. So knowing that you are 16 tells me very little. What is a bit more fixed is the order in which development takes place. If you would, use the Tanner Stage of Development Calculator for Boys to see what stage of development you are at, then we can talk more about how much growth potential you might have left.

Male penises are considered “normal” between 3 and 8 inches when erect. The average size is about 5.2 inches [http://www.bjuinternational.com/bjui-blog/normal-review-analyzes-data-flaccid-erect-penis-lengths-men/]. For an adolescent boy, your penis size is very common.

There are all sorts of gimmicks being promoted which claim to make you taller or your penis longer. None of them are legitimate. You will be the size that God made you. There are things a person might do to limit their growth, such as being malnourished, but you can’t extend your growth beyond what your genes allow.

As Jesus pointed out, “Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature?” (Matthew 6:27). Some things are not worth the thought because you can’t make it any different. Neither your height nor your penis size will determine how good of a husband or lover you will grow up to be.
