I’m losing my hair at 16

Question:

Is oiling necessary for better growth and thickness of the hair? I’m 16 and I’m suffering from a huge amount of hair fall! Is DHT the reason?

Answer:

Some men are more sensitive to DHT, which is a derivative of testosterone. They can end up losing their hair early. Sixteen is very early for hair loss, so I would suggest seeing your doctor about it to make sure there is not some other reason behind your hair loss.

If DHT is the cause, there are topical medications that can be used to stop the hair loss, and perhaps gain a bit of it back. However, it would mean using these medications for the rest of your life. Most guys usually go for the bald head look.

Oiling your hair will not affect your hair growth in any way.
