Question:

Is having no hair on your chest normal for a 19-year-old?

Answer:

It is very typical, even for men whose ancestors have lots of body hair. Adolescent growth generally goes from the fingers and toes inwards toward the chest. That is, your hands and feet started getting big before the rest of your body started catching up. The last area to develop is your chest/trunk region. Chest hair starts but doesn’t get real noticeable until after a guy reaches stage 5 of development. It takes a while for the hair to grow longer and thicker. For most men, this becomes noticeable in their mid-twenties.
