My left testicle hangs lower than my right and there are lumps on the back of them

Question:

I have been having this problem for a long time and didn’t know who to tell this until I came upon your site. My left testicle hangs lower then the right one and strangest of all the backside of it seems to be bulging or damaged; I just can’t seem to describe it, but this is the problem. Could you please tell me what the problem is?

Answer:

Nothing you describe is wrong. One testicle is supposed to hang lower than the other. This allows the two testicles to slide by each other when you walk or run without banging into each other. The bulge on the backside of each testicle which feels slightly soft is the epididymis. This is the holding area for sperm cells where they mature for about four to six weeks.
