Why do I drip when I don’t have an erection and I am not thinking about sex?

Question:

Sir,

I just saw one if your answers and I found it helpful, but I am having a problem where I get to feel the pre-ejaculation fluid even though I don’t have an erection — no cuddling, no kissing, no hugging, no thinking about sex and no sex — but by just sitting next to my girlfriend. Please, is there any reason for this?

Answer:

Even though you are not outright thinking about sex, you find being close to your girlfriend exciting. Your body responds by getting sexually aroused — not enough to give you a full erection, but enough to trigger the Cowper’s glands to start producing pre-ejaculate fluid. Erection and the Cowper’s glands actually are independent systems though often similar situations will trigger them.
