I have a question: Am I in stage 4 if I have a few hairs toward my navel? I can’t really describe it, but I have a few hairs that you could only see with a flashlight just underneath my navel, and just above there’s nothing anywhere else. It’s only a few hairs that are not that noticeable, but is it a sign of stage 4?
Answer:
Only terminal hairs, the hairs that you can easily see are considered in regard to the stages of development. What you are seeing are vellus hairs that are elongating in preparation for becoming terminal hairs. I would consider this to be a sign that you are midway to near the end of stage 3.
