Question:
Thank you so much for having that questions page. I was afraid that having wet dreams was a sin, and I was afraid that God was mad at me. But now that I know it is not. I just thank the Lord that your website was on the Internet.
Answer:
I’m glad you found the information useful. No, wet dreams or nocturnal emissions are not sinful. Sins are when you break a law of God. “Whoever commits sin also commits lawlessness, and sin is lawlessness” (I John 3:4). A wet dream does not break a law of God, it is the way God made the male body to operate. Nor will God ever send something your way to make you sin. “Let no one say when he is tempted, “I am tempted by God”; for God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does He Himself tempt anyone” (James 1:13). He lets people who are determined to sin to do so. He does allow Satan to try and tempt people into sin so that his people can improve and those not devoted to Him will fall away, but His goal is to save people.
