Hello,
I have questions regarding my tanner stages and growth.
I am 174 cm which is 5’8.5. I am at stage 3.5 of puberty. I am 14 and a half. My dad is 188 cm. I do not know if I will reach his height. Can I still reach his height? I only started puberty last year. Puberty was pretty dramatic for me. I just want to know if it’s likely for me to reach my dad’s height. I basically started a growth spurt around 8 months ago or so.
Do you think I’m really at tanner 3.5? I have hair on my upper lip. It’s mostly fluff. My pubic hair has only become dense around my groin, but I do not have anywhere else. My feet and hands have not grown and I have not gained weight. I heard that this happens during a growth spurt. My dad had a late growth spurt at 16.

Boys tend to reach a minimum adult height that is the average of their parents’ heights. Since I don’t know how tall your mother is, I can’t answer what is the range of height you might reach. However, if you use Predicting Your Adult Height, you can get an idea of what you’re final adult height might be.
Technically, puberty is the point in time when your hormones rise in your blood. This happens before you see any external signs of changes. And for most boys, the early signs are ignored. It sounds like you didn’t really take notice that you were changing until you started shooting up in height, even though there were other signs years before. I would assume you actually reached puberty around the age of 12.
Since you are rapidly growing, you are in stage 3. Since you have a faint mustache, stage 3.5 sounds accurate. I can be specific since I can’t see you. Hands and feet grow most during stage 2, but you were paying attention. I am sure you are not wearing the same shoe size as you were two years ago. Most boys put on weight in stage 2. Again, you probably did and didn’t notice.

My mother is 163 cm. I have not gained weight during my growth since I am skinny and a bit underweight. I heard a growth spurt lasts 3 years. Does this mean that I still have around 2 years of rapid growth until I slow down a bit? I’d say 6′ is very likely but I don’t know about 6’2. My first wet dream was literally last week. The calculator says I’ll be 184.

The rapid growth spurt, where you grow more than 5 cm per year typically lasts about a year. But if you add in the time when your grow speeds up and then slows down, then, yes, that can last as long as three years.
Boys in your family will reach a minimum height of 176 cm. 184 cm is a reasonable estimate for your final adult height.
