Recently in my school, the swimming season has started; and yet, when I’m around other boys and accidentally see their private parts, my own penis gets erect. Is there any way to prevent it?
Thanks for your help.
First, understand that the response is normal. Any general sexual thought might bring on an erection, such as being in a locker room where others might see you or you see someone without clothing. You know the genitals are connected to sex. Even though you are not sexually attracted to men, your brain is still learning and anything even remotely sexual in the least way will trigger a response.
In addition, erections are triggered by a muscle inside of you clamping down on the veins leading from your penis. Blood goes into the penis but can’t exit, so the penis inflates like a balloon. Being naked in front of other people will make you nervous, and you tense up, and your penis comes up.
There are a few things you can do. First, face the wall when you are changing. It helps you not see anyone else and even if your penis stirs, fewer people will see. Second, change into your trunks before you take off your shirt. The shirt will hang down and gives you some coverage. When you are getting dressed, put your shirt on first. If you need to look at someone who is talking to you, look them in the face and avoid looking down. Finally, purposely distract yourself. Start solving your math homework in your head or think about what you need to do after school.
