How can you get ready to satisfy your future spouse if you can’t masturbate or perform any sexual acts before marriage?

Question:

Hey,

I’m an 18-year-old boy and I have a question. As Christians, we should not masturbate or perform any sexual acts before marriage. How should one get himself ready to satisfy his future spouse, if he doesn’t have any experience with lasting a long time, for example?

Thank you, and have a great one. God bless!

Answer:

In regards to whether the Bible teaches that masturbation is sinful, see How can I tell if masturbation is a sin when both sides cite Scriptures? Performing sexual acts with another person is sinful. Fornication includes oral sex, anal sex, and mutual masturbation and is condemned in I Corinthians 6:9-10. Arousing someone by sexual play is called sensuality or lewdness and is condemned in Romans 13:13-14. Sexually stimulating someone via touching is forbidden in I Corinthians 7:1.

You will get sufficient experience when you masturbate to be ready for sex when you get married.

Question:

Thank you for the quick response but regarding, “You will get sufficient experience when you masturbate to be ready for sex when you get married.” I thought we can’t masturbate as Christians.

Answer:

You didn’t read the article that I provided a link to (How can I tell if masturbation is a sin when both sides cite Scriptures?). Look up the passages. Christians are not to look at pornography, but masturbation is a separate issue.
