So how tall is the average guy at the start of stage 4?
The average adult male is 5’9″ (or 177 cm). Using the CDC growth chart, moving two years before the final height is reached, you find that the growth rate suddenly slows down (the start of stage 4). The average height is about 5’8″ (or 173 cm).
