Question:
I am a 21-year-old boy. I have been playing with one boy for the past two years who is only 13 years old. I really like and love that boy. I sometimes kiss in his cheek and neck. I know that it is not good according to the Bible, but I can’t stop doing that. I even wish he was my wife. If I keep on doing this, I think I cannot enter heaven. So please help me to stop doing that.
Answer:
“Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers, will inherit the kingdom of God” (I Corinthians 6:9-10).
You’re lusting after homosexuality and you are seducing a young boy into that sin. “But whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in Me to stumble, it would be better for him to have a heavy millstone hung around his neck, and to be drowned in the depth of the sea” (Matthew 18:6). In most countries what you’re aiming to do would fall under the category of statutory rape. Even if the boy was a willing partner, he is legally considered to be too young to give consent. Thus, by both man’s laws and God’s law, what you are doing is wrong.
I can’t make you stop. I can only tell you that it is wrong. The only way to deal with sins like this is to get as far from it as you can. “Do not enter the path of the wicked and do not proceed in the way of evil men. Avoid it, do not pass by it; turn away from it and pass on” (Proverbs 4:14-15).
You are wrong when you conclude that you can’t stop. You always have had full control over what you do. It may go against what you desire to do, but you never have to follow your desires. “No temptation has overtaken you but such as is common to man; and God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will provide the way of escape also, so that you will be able to endure it” (I Corinthians 10:13).
Response:
Thanks for your help. I got some ideas now how to control myself by the Bible verses you gave me. I now regret what I have done to him and my sexual desire toward him.
