Question:
I’m 13. I don’t think my gynecomastia is ever going to go away because it’s been two years now and I still see no difference at all. I even try to stay healthy but it’s like I’m wasting my time on something that will never go away. What should I do to get rid of this nasty thing?
Answer:
Most gynecomastia, the sticking out of the nipples, is caused by fat deposits. So they will go away when you slim down from your growth. But at age 13, you are still growing. It isn’t good for a growing boy to try to lose weight. If you are overweight, cut back on the junk food. Eat a healthy diet and get out and do more things. Only after you are done or nearly done growing and you still have the problem should you consider seeing a doctor about the issue.
