I have itchy bumps between my legs

Question:

I have a problem in my crotch area. I am attaching a picture of the problem. These are between my legs, near the testicles. They are itchy at times. What is this and what must I do?

Answer:

Notice the small dimples in the center of each bump. These are most likely Molluscum Contagiosum. It is an infection caused by a virus. It is spread by direct contact with someone who has the virus or by using something that another person has used, such as a towel.

The bumps will go away on their own, but it may take months or even years to go away. Treatment is generally considered unnecessary since it will eventually go away.

Stop sharing towels, sports equipment, or clothing with other people. Everything has to be washed between use. You don’t want to spread it to another person, and you don’t want to reinfect yourself. You can also spread the virus from one part of your body to another, so when drying off, dry the infect areas last. While the bumps are present you are infectious.

Response:

Thanks a lot. I will do as you said.
