Question:

I’m getting into university soon and I must get a doctor to fill a medical form that my university wants. Filling this medical form includes a physical examination. I am afraid I will get an erection during the physical examination of my genitals. I am a very shy person. What should I do to avoid getting an erection?

Answer:

Doctors understand the embarrassment of examinations and take steps to keep such necessary exposure to a minimum. Erections do happen at times, but if it happens to you, understand that he’s seen thousands of others. He will pretend it isn’t there and so should you.

One way to minimize the chance of getting erect is to focus your mind on something boring and mundane. Solve a math problem or work through a list of all the nations in Europe.
