Is the scrotum two separate sacks or one sack?

Last updated on October 5, 2020

Question:

Is the scrotum, on the inside, two separate sacks, one for each testicle, or one huge sack for both testicles? Is it possible to tangle both spermatic cords of each testicle?

Answer:

The scrotum is one sack that contains two internal sacks created by a set of muscle tissue. Thus, it is not possible for the two testicles to become tangled.
