Question:
This is probably a long shot, but I’m seeking different perspectives.
I think my puberty is somehow faulty. Your Tanner calculator has put me at 4.6 if I did everything correctly. However, I do not feel as if it is true. Right now, I’m a 20-year-old guy. I think I count as a late bloomer because my voice was girlish at 16, and even then, I’m not sure if it ever really changed to the deep male one. I just made myself sound like one. I had this skill since kindergarten. Yet, it’s still higher than the average one. Genitals are a whole other deal – they are clinically small. I think both are about 6.5 ml, which is too little for Tanner 4. I never really noticed either my penis or my testicles growing.
What do you think? I’m already seeking medical help, but I need opinions.
Answer:
Your doctor’s opinions are going to matter more than my own. Your doctor can see you and order tests to narrow down possibilities. He also has training in making medical diagnoses. I am a good researcher, but I can only go off what you tell me. I can’t verify your information or note things you overlooked because I can’t see you.
You are correct that testicle sizes in the 6 ml range are usually associated with someone in early stage 3. That information is enough to say that you need to be checked out by a doctor. Beyond this, I don’t know anything else I can tell you.
Response:
Well, either way, thank you for your time. I appreciate it!
