I was wondering why guys are so attracted to breasts. I really am interested, but I think it’s really weird. I mean they are like the same thing as ours, just bigger.
Can you tell me why?
Answer:
It has long been known that men tend to be visually oriented while women are verbally oriented. In other words, the things men see make a bigger impact on a man than what a man hears or reads.
Some reactions are instinctive. They are built into us. One is an attraction to breasts. “Let your fountain be blessed, and rejoice with the wife of your youth. As a loving deer and a graceful doe, let her breasts satisfy you at all times; and always be enraptured with her love” (Proverbs 5:18-19). A person can become numb to that attraction or overfeed it and become compulsive about it. Still, we need to acknowledge that there is a basic attraction in guys toward a woman’s breasts.
Another reason is that we keep our sexual areas covered. “And those members of the body which we think to be less honorable, on these we bestow greater honor; and our unpresentable parts have greater modesty” (I Corinthians 12:23). But for a woman, the breasts can be covered, but the shape is still there. It is a sexual area that you can’t avoid but notice that it exists. It is different from a man and for that reason, it is a banner that says “female.”
One part of the attraction is knowing that it is off-limits. “Stolen water is sweet, and bread eaten in secret is pleasant” (Proverbs 9:17). Even ordinary things become exciting when we know it is wrong in some way. Because of the way our bodies are designed it is easier to become sexually aroused when we are excited because our blood pressure is higher. Thus, knowing that a woman is to keep her breasts private makes them just that more exciting and arousing.
