Question:
Hi,
I have a question. Are my calve muscles normal because they just became 2-3 cm bigger in circumference in just a year? My calves look so disproportionate to my body. Was it because I’m in stage 3 and about to hit a growth spurt, so the muscle grows to support the bone? And I also don’t think it’s genetics because all of my relatives don’t have it. Can you please explain my concern?
Thank you.
Answer:
While you are growing, your body cannot grow everything simultaneously. Therefore, you will be disproportionate for short periods while one portion grows, and the other portions will catch up later. When you compare your relatives, you are comparing those who have finished growing to someone who is in the middle of growing. That is not a fair comparison.
