Will I still develop even though I’m seventeen?

Question:

Hi,

I was just wondering if girth can still grow at 17 and a half years old. I still don’t have significant hair on my face, my upper lip, or a tiny bit on my chin. I have gotten taller and am now 186 cm when I was 182 last Christmas. I haven’t noticed much growth down there, but it might have gotten thicker. It’s just still below average. I also don’t look fully manly yet.

Answer:

Your development is only loosely connected to your age. Look at each of the development stages and notice how broad the age ranges are for normal development. Some boys don’t even start stage 4 until they are 18 years old. It sounds like you are in early stage 4. Stage 4 lasts about two years, so you have plenty of time for changes to take place.

Question:

Is there anything I can do to help, like eating certain foods?

Answer:

All anyone needs to do is eat a healthy diet with variations in what you eat while limiting junk foods (things that are overly sweet or salty). Your body will take care of the rest because that is the way God made you.

Question:

Can it still grow even if minimal height growth occurs? I read that somewhere.

Answer:

The growth of your penis is not dependent on the growth of your bones. They are independent systems.
