Does puberty make your face always red?
I am 13.5 years old and I am at stage 3.5 and I have acne and my face is always shining and is always red and my face was never red before is this because of puberty? And will my acne ever go away?

During adolescence, the hormones coursing through your body that cause you to change from a child to a man also cause the oil glands in your skin to produce extra oil. This thin layer of oil on your skin makes it look shiny. That oil also traps particles that can plug up your pores and cause acne.
The solution is to wash the oily places of your skin with soap daily. An acne cleanser with salicylic acid in it would be a good choice since the salicylic acid break down clogs and it causes the oil glands to slow down their production.
I’m not certain what you mean by red skin. I assume you are referring to the red pimples that mark acne. The redness is due to infections under the clogged pores.
Acne slows down after you reach stage 5 and your hormones settle back down.
