How much growth do I have left?

Question:

Good afternoon,

I was wondering when I might have started puberty and how much growth I have left. I am currently at stage 3.6.

I got my first pubic hair just before I was 13 and, until I was 14.5 years old, had no other major signs of puberty (still half of my height was midway through my thigh, child-like proportions, and voice). I have been growing steadily since, and my legs, with half my height being an inch below the base of my penis, still seem very long for my body. My father is 181 cm, and my mother is 168 cm. My sitting height is 34 inches, and my shoe size is 8-9 UK. It went from size 6 to size 9 in the last 6 months. I’m turning 15 soon.

Here is my height chart:

  • 12.5 150
  • 13  153-155
  • 14 160
  • 15(now) 172.5

How much could I expect to grow, and how tall do you think I’ll be at 16?

Answer:

If you started getting pubic hair in the middle of stage 2, you entered stage 2 at age 12. You still have another year of rapid growth and then two years of gradually slowing growth.

To get estimates of your adult height, use several of the tools listed on the page “Predicting Your Adult Height.”

Question:

Could I expect the same amount of fast growth as I did last year?

Answer:

No. It isn’t that consistent.
