What would be my future growth?

Question:

Hello Sir,

Could you identify my growth potential for the future? I am 15, and in the calculator it shows that I am at a 4.1 Tanner stage on average. My parents are 153 cm and 173 cm. My dad hit his growth spurt at 14.5, and my mom started her periods at 16.5. My mom and dad don’t have that much body hair, but I have the whole jungle compared to them.

My penis and leg hair started to grow from 11.5, and my voice started to change from 12. I have been experiencing voice cracks from 12 until now. My armpit hair grew at 14.

My growth throughout the years:-

  • 12 years: 159 cm
  • 13 years: 165 cm
  • 14 years: 172 cm
  • 15 years: 176.5 cm

At present, at the age of 15 years and 3 months, I am 177 cm. I hope you will please give an answer.

Answer:

It looks like you had your growth spurt between the ages of 13 and 14, when you grew 7 cm. You probably reached puberty (stage 2) when you were 10 and a half. You reached stage 3 at 12 and a half. You are at stage 4 at 14 and a half.

To estimate your potential adult height, you can use the various calculators at “Predicting Your Adult Height.” I can’t run the numbers for you without knowing your current weight.

Response:

Thank you for the clarification, sir.
