I am a 26-year-old man who is uncircumcised. I have a red tear, scratch, or what looks like the skin is raw (red). It hurts when I push my foreskin back to clean it. What do you think it is?

You didn’t say where the tear is at or how it came to be, but redness around a wound, especially when it is accompanied by pain, is an indication that an infection has set in. It would be best to have a doctor take a look at it. If for some reason that is not practical immediately, you can try an antibiotic ointment on the wound for several days (applying at least twice a day). If it doesn’t improve, however, you need to see a doctor about it.
