Question:

Can a woman get pregnant if the penis just slips into her vagina accidentally?

Answer

Let’s look at this closely: Just how can your penis get into a woman by accident?

I assume you wear clothing like everyone else. This would mean that your penis is hidden under underwear and a pair of pants. Will you claim that your pants and underwear came down just by accident? Or will you be honest and say that they were purposely removed? Of course, she has clothing as well. Did they just accidentally disappear? Unmarried couples should not be naked in each other’s presence.

Then there is the fact that your penis isn’t that long, even when erect. The average guy is about 5.25 inches long. That would mean that not only were you naked, but you were also next to her in your naked state.

But let me press the point further. A man’s penis is unable to enter a woman’s vagina unless it is erect. That would mean that if your penis was in a woman, not only were your clothes off, but you were also sexually aroused. I understand; for a guy that easily happens. But there is the other half to consider. A man’s penis doesn’t easily enter a woman’s vagina unless she is also sexually aroused. Normally a woman’s vagina is closed off by two sets of “lips.” Hence, in order for this “accident” to happen, you would have to be engaged in sexual foreplay. And that foreplay would have had to have lasted a while since it takes a typical woman ten to twenty minutes of foreplay to become ready for sexual intercourse.

When you face the facts, the answer is that what happened was not an accident. It might not have been what you intended. It might have gone further than you planned. But it was not an accident by any stretch of the imagination. You played with fire and are now surprised that it is hot. “Can a man take fire to his bosom, And his clothes not be burned? Can one walk on hot coals, And his feet not be seared? So is he who goes in to his neighbor’s wife; whoever touches her shall not be innocent” (Proverbs 6:27-29). The “goes in to his neighbor’s wife” is literal. Your penis went into a woman to whom you were not married. No matter how you word what happened — you are not an innocent victim in this case.

Now, that we see the facts, let us address the answer. Since you were sexually aroused and were engaged in foreplay, your Cowper’s glands were producing fluid that dripped from the end of your penis. This fluid can contain sperm and technically it only takes one sperm meeting one egg to cause a pregnancy. The odds are against it happening, but the possibility distinctly exists.

But pregnancy is just one concern. Because you had skin-to-skin contact of your genitals, it is possible for you to have picked up a sexually transmitted disease.

However, the real concern is that you have committed fornication. “Marriage is honorable among all, and the bed undefiled; but fornicators and adulterers God will judge” (Hebrews 13:4). It is your soul’s destiny that you should be concerned about. Hell is a place of eternal destruction. It is not worth risking a few moments of sexual pleasure for eternal damnation.

Instead, leave this sin behind. Turn to God and save yourself for your wife. Then you can enjoy sex without physical or spiritual danger. “Let your fountain be blessed, and rejoice with the wife of your youth. As a loving deer and a graceful doe, let her breasts satisfy you at all times; and always be enraptured with her love. For why should you, my son, be enraptured by an immoral woman, and be embraced in the arms of a seductress? For the ways of man are before the eyes of the LORD, and He ponders all his paths. His own iniquities entrap the wicked man, and he is caught in the cords of his sin. He shall die for lack of instruction, and in the greatness of his folly he shall go astray” (Proverbs 5:18-23).
