Question:
I woke up with wet stains on my sheets and my pants, it wasn’t sticky and it smelt kind of like pee. I’m 13.
Was it a wet dream or did I wet the bed?
Answer:
Unfortunately, I don’t have any way to tell. Semen from a wet dream will leave a wet spot. Men typically ejaculate less than a tablespoon of semen. Urine will leave a large spot. Your bladder holds a good amount of liquid. Semen has a faint smell and can have a chlorine or ammonia odor. Urine has a faint ammonia odor, so smell is not going to distinguish which it is. Semen is off-white in color. Urine is distinctly yellow. Semen has a lot of sugar in it so it dries stiff.
It is also possible that you saw pre-ejaculate fluid. Pre-ejaculate fluid is clear, colorless, and doesn’t have much of an odor. It dries quickly but doesn’t leave much of a stain behind. The amount varies greatly, depending on how long you were aroused.
