Does frequent masturbation enlarge the prostate?
Two studies have found that ejaculating 21 times a month or more correlates with a decrease in the chance of getting prostate cancer in your later years of life. [“Ejaculation frequency and prostate cancer,”, Harvard Health Publishing, 19 January 2022.]
There is also a study that found that men who have persistent problems with premature ejaculations during sex frequently also have problems with chronic prostatitis, which is an inflammation of the prostate that causes pain after ejaculation. It is believed that it is caused by a build-up of lactic acid that is not being properly cleared because of stress during sex. [Jun Ho Lee, “Relationship between premature ejaculation and chronic prostatitis/chronic pelvic pain syndrome,” Journal of Sexual Med, 2015 Mar, p. 697-704.] This problem would not be related to frequent masturbation.
