Answer:
Also, let me know if there is itching or any other symptoms.
Question:
There are no other symptoms. It just is and red. I thought it could be a fungus, but that would itch. I don’t have any symptoms like that. And how would I get a fungus there?
Answer:
Not every infection itches. Fungus spores are in the air. If it has a warm moist environment, it can grow. Also, if you accidentally scratched your skin, it can give it a place to take root.
It does look like a fungal infection. The type of fungus you have is probably ringworm. See: “Ringworm.” Have you tried using an anti-fungal cream or spray?
Question:
Yes, it is probably tinea. The incubation time is 1-5 days. I traveled to a South American country last week. I probably got it in the hotel bathroom. But it doesn’t even itch. I began using a cream yesterday night.
Answer:
It usually takes about three days to see a difference and over a week or two to kill off the fungus. Even then, you need to continue to use it for several days to make sure it is gone.
Question:
Oh, OK. Should I use it both in the morning and in the night?
Answer:
Follow the directions, but it should have you putting on the cream twice a day.
