I think it’s great trying to keep boys from the dangers of pornography

Question:

I came across your site and want to say that I think it’s great what you are doing. I had nowhere to go when I was a boy going through puberty. Unfortunately, I got involved in looking at porn at a very young age, which led to nothing but disappointment, and today, I am regrettably not married. I blame no one but myself and know that I’ll have to deal with all of that at my General Judgment. Today’s world, as you know, is evil — pure evil. I grew up in the ’80s and it’s a hundred times worse now. I hope that the work you’re doing will prevent boys from going down the dangerous paths in life that I did.

Best regards.

Answer:

Thank you for the encouragement and for sharing your story.

The amazing thing about being a Christian is the certainty that even the worst sinner can change. Your past doesn’t have to define your future. “Brethren, I do not regard myself as having laid hold of it yet; but one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 3:13-14).
