Question:
I’m currently 18 years old. When I was 16 I went to an endocrinologist because when I went to take a physical, they told my parents to take me there. They did an x-ray on my hand and my bone structure was like the age of an early 14-year-old. From the age of 16 until now I grew 2 inches and am currently 5 foot 3 Inches and still look very young. My penis size soft is 2 inches and erect it is 4.5. I have little armpit hair, but I have hair on my genitals but not across the entire groin. I have a peach fuzz mustache. I don’t have any chest hair or chin hairs. People say I look like I am 14 or 15 years old.
Do you think I’m still growing in height and down there? I had a follow-up appointment with the endocrinologist, but my mom said that I didn’t need to go anymore because she always thought I was growing up fine but slowly.
I’m still a virgin and afraid to have sex because of this issue. What should I do about this?
Answer:
You have to remember that I can’t see you, so I can only go by your description. There isn’t enough information for me to determine what stage you are in beyond that you are somewhere between stage 3 and 4. See the Development Stage Calculator.
If you are in stage 4, then your penis will be getting wider, but not much longer. The normal range for an adult’s penis is between 3 and 8 inches long when erect, so you are within the normal range already.
Did the endocrinologist find any hormonal problems?
In regards to sex, God commands that we wait until marriage to have sex. “Marriage is honorable among all, and the bed undefiled; but fornicators and adulterers God will judge” (Hebrews 13:4). I know, people are violating this command in droves, but it is still wrong. I assume you are able to ejaculate semen, so there is nothing preventing you from fathering children when you get married.
