Why doesn’t my foreskin completely cover my glans?

Question:

Hi,

I read your answer on a web site about foreskin and pulling it back. I was wondering if you were able to help me with this: I’m 16 years old and quite far into puberty now, or at least I feel like I am. I sort of have a beard or at least chin hairs and sideburns and all of that, but what I want to know is: why doesn’t my foreskin cover my penis completely when I’m flaccid? I am uncircumcised and it somewhat covers it but not loads, so I would like to know why it is that this is happening, please.

I would be very grateful for an answer.

Thanks.

Answer:

Just as different people have different foot sizes, different ear sizes, different nose lengths, etc. men also have different foreskin lengths. Some guys have long foreskins, such that even when they are fully erect, the foreskin still fully covers their glans. Other guys have short foreskins, such that the glans is semi-visible even when they are flaccid.
