Is it abnormal that I never had a night wetting?

Last updated on August 19, 2020

Question:

I had some questions. I am 17 and a half years old, but I have never had ‘night wettings’. My penis is slightly curved to the left when erect and is curved in the same direction but along a vertical axis when it is flaccid.

I do not have any other kinds of abnormalities. I involve myself in masturbation twice or thrice in a month.

My questions are:

  1. Is it abnormal that I never had ‘night wettings’? It didn’t happen when I had stopped masturbation for nearly two months.
  2. What should I do about my curved penis?

Answer

The male body has two means of getting rid of excess semen. One is through ejaculations, whether by nocturnal emissions (night wettings or wet dreams), masturbation, or sexual activity. The second is a slow drip method. When you get sexually arouse, even at night in your sleep, some semen is released into the ejaculatory duct. Because the pathway to the urethra is open during arousal, some semen drips down. This is then flushed out by the pre-ejaculate (pre-cum) or will be flushed out the next time you urinate.

Depending on how fast your particular body manufactures semen, the slower drip method can handle the excess semen for some men. Therefore, it is not unusual to never experience a wet dream or to only have them rarely, such as once or twice a year.

In regards to the penis, it is actually very rare to find a straight penis. All penises have a slight bend in some direction. The only time a bend in a penis is considered a problem is when the bend causes the erect penis to have an “L” shape or a “U” shape.
