Question:

Is it normal that I haven’t grown in 4 months? I am currently in stage 3 of puberty are you supposed to grow at a consistent rate or is it normal not to I have also been noticing my appetite go up and I’ve been eating more and I’ve been gaining weight does this mean I’m getting another growth spurt?

Thanks.

Answer:

Growth is not continuous. There is more to growing up than enlarging your skeleton and your body doesn’t have the energy to do everything at once. Thus, growth is more of a series of starts and stops. For measurements, it is recommended that you compare measurements from 6 months or a year ago to your current measurements. That is a long enough period to span the starts and stops of growth.
