Is there a way to stop wet dreams?

Last updated on October 11, 2020

Question:

Good afternoon,

I’ve found this to be a problem for me for almost two years now. I experience wet dreams (unwanted ejaculations) during my sleep at the age of 22. The frequency of this can sometimes be once or twice a week. Is there a way this could be stopped or reduced?

I’ve only had sex three times and I ejaculated faster than I expected. Is this also a problem?

Answer:

Wet dreams are a normal part of life for males. Your body constantly produces semen now that you’ve reached that level of maturity. Eventually, the glands that produce the semen, the seminal vesicles, get full and the excess semen has to be expelled. Your body instinctively ejaculates the excess semen in a process that is called a wet dream. The only way to slow down wet dreams is to purposely masturbate so that your seminal vesicles don’t get full.

There is a problem, but not what you might expect. The problem is that you’ve sinned by committing fornication and you don’t think there is anything wrong with what you did. “Marriage is honorable among all, and the bed undefiled; but fornicators and adulterers God will judge” (Hebrews 13:4).

But in regards to your question, it is normal for a young male to ejaculate quickly during sex.
