Question:
I’m 13. Somehow, when most of the guys in my year have had their voices get deeper, I still sound like I am 11. I’m around 5’9 and I’m at tanner stage 3.6-3.7 according to the quiz. I have the average amount of public hair. Whenever I try to speak lower than my regular volume, my voice cracks; yet, my tone remains exactly the same. It’s getting to the point people are making comments now about how my voice is so high-pitched.
Answer:
For most boys, the pitch of their voice deepens during stage 4. You are still in stage 3. While I know you are in a rush to be seen as a man, it will still take a few years for all the changes to finish. My guess is that you will find your voice deeper in about a year to a year and a half. This is just one of those areas you just have to have patience.
