Question:
I play sports and workout as well. but I have this feeling that ejaculating makes me tire easily and drains my stamina. Moreover, when I try not to do it, it somehow drives me crazy and makes me lose my focus. I know the answers to that, so I do it. I guess I do it 3-4 times daily at most. I don’t want this desire and have this sense of shame, but at the same time, I want to know if it is really affecting my body.
Answer:
It is a myth that ejaculating affects your performance in sports. “Masturbation doesn’t affect your performance on the field or in the ring, says Dr. Johnny Benjamin, medical advisor to the US Association of Boxing Commission” [Men’s Health]. What ejaculating does do is release hormones that cause you to relax for a period of time. That may not be a good thing just before an event, but if you ejaculated the night before it may actually help you sleep better.
Not ejaculating causes the body to turn your thoughts toward sex, which can distract you from your event.
Ejaculating 3 to 4 times a day is probably too much. You should be able to function masturbating once a day most of the time. The average young man ejaculates 2 to 3 times a week. I suspect that that level of ejaculating, you are heavily into pornography. That keeps you at a higher state of arousal, which increases your semen production, which in turn causes you to want to masturbate more often. Pornography is not a harmless pastime.
