How do homosexuals generally behave?

Question:

You are definitely one of the most sensible and wise people who has been helpful to me. Thanks for being there. I have not come across people who are sexually active with the people of the same sex. However, I had an encounter with those who touch private parts. How do homosexuals behave in general? This is to remove my ignorance and be aware of it.

Answer:

I assume you are asking how to spot a homosexual. Despite the taunts of children who call anyone who is the least different some kind of name, there really isn’t any real behavior pattern that declares what a person’s choice is in sexual partners. The Bible uses two words to describe homosexuals. “Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers, will inherit the kingdom of God” (I Corinthians 6:9-10). “Effeminate” translates the Greek word malakos, which literally means soft. Because male sex requires a recipient, some homosexuals take on the female role in sex and some will imitate women in their mannerisms, dress, and other behaviors. It is the shock of the contrast that they are after — someone who is clearly male acting as a female would. “Homosexuals” translates the Greek word arsenokoites. This word is a compound term of the words for male and bed, where “bed” is a euphemism for the sexual acts that typically take place in a bed. It refers to the aggressive partner in homosexual sex. Such men act masculine, but focus their sexual desire on other men. And there are times when homosexuals reverse roles and there are also those who don’t care who they have sex with, whether male or female. Because of all these roles, it isn’t a clear cut identifying behavior that says someone is homosexual other than when some male tries to engage in sexual acts with another male.

Most sinners, at least on some level, understand that what they are involved in is wrong and unacceptable by society as a whole. Thus, to make themselves feel better, they try to recruit others into their deeds because if others are doing the same sin, then they must not be so bad. That is why there is a warning, “My son, if sinners entice you, do not consent” (Proverbs 1:10).

What homosexuals attempt to take advantage of is the fact that young males are easily sexually aroused. When the body first develops the capability to have sex, just about anything, everything, and nothing in particular will trigger sexual excitement. What homosexuals tend to do is purposely trigger sexual arousal in a young man, knowing that the response will cause confusion in that person’s mind. People know that men are supposed to be aroused by women, but if a man can arouse a young man, he begins to wonder if there is something different about him. Most young men are too inexperienced with sexual feelings to realize that their body doesn’t need a particular focus to get excited. If the homosexual can get the young man to heavy sexual passion, or even engage in sexual acts, that generally convinces the young man that he must be homosexual. The young man never stops to question his reaction.

The truth is that anyone — male, female, or even the own person — can cause a male to orgasm and ejaculate. That is because for the male, sex is a physical act and the body has instinctive responses. Homosexuality is and has always been a choice to use what God gave men to use for sex with their wives and twist it into having sex with other men. “For this reason God gave them up to vile passions. For even their women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature. Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due” (Romans 1:26-27). It is fornication twisted to a partner of the same gender. The results are consequences typically worse than fornication.

Question:

Thank you, sir. So knowing one’s sexual preference and a strong will to dismiss a homosexual encounter will prevent us from committing a sin.

Answer:

Everyone is designed to have sex with the opposite gender. That is the natural purpose of our sexual organs. Some people, however, choose to go against their natural function. Like any other sin, it can be resisted. “Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded” (James 4:7-8). Even if someone had chosen to sin by having homosexual sex, he can turn back to God. “Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God. And such were some of you. But you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God” (I Corinthians 6:9-11). One of the myths being propagated by homosexuals is that their chosen sin cannot be changed. However, evidence shows that the contention is false.
