Question:
Thank you very much for the web site you provided. It was very informative and helped a lot. I do have a question that’s bothered me very much that I hope you can help me with.
Ever since puberty, my penis has had a curvature. However, now I think it may be getting worse, but I’m not sure. It could be psychosomatic. I have measured it, and it’s approximately 15-20 degrees to the left. I sometimes do an exercise where I lubricate my penis with coconut oil. I hold the base of my penis and put a bit of pressure on my penis as I slide my fingers up the shaft for five minutes a day. I don’t think this has had any effect for the better for my curvature. I’m afraid that when I have sex with my future wife, it may cause pain to me or to her. I don’t think I’ll be getting married anytime soon, but the curvature of my penis still bothers me.
I’m still living with my parents. I thought about telling my dad about it, but that’s not going to happen. I’m not on any insurance to be able to see a doctor, so I’m really hoping you have some advice for me or know of any web sites or recourses that may provide better alternatives (such as better exercises than what I’m doing) to help or fix my curvature. I have thought about ordering a penis pump because I’ve heard that could possibly help, but I’m not sure if they’re safe. To be honest, I’m not sure what to do.
Answer:
Slight curves are normal. There are three chambers in your penis: two on top and one on the bottom. When you have an erection, those chambers fill up with blood, much like blowing up a balloon with air. If you have ever blown up a long balloon, you will notice that they are rarely perfectly straight. There is almost always a slight curve. That is because the surface of the balloon is not perfectly even. Well, guess what? The chambers in your penis are not perfectly even either. Three of them balance each other out, but still, there will be a slight curve.
As long as the bend is not severe, where severe is usually counted as over 20 degrees, then there is nothing to worry about. It will work just fine when it comes time to have sex with your wife. Actually, women’s vaginas are not perfectly straight either, so it doesn’t really matter.
Massaging your penis with oil is not going to change the shape of the chambers within your penis. Pumps might hold the penis straight while they are on, but as soon as you remove it, the penis will return to its regular shape.
By the way, by curve we talking about the direction of the penis at the base versus the direction at the end. We are not talking about the penis, as a whole, pointing in one direction or another.
Question:
Thank you for responding. I really appreciate your advice and service.
I measured my curvature and it is actually approximately 20 degrees, but definitely not over 20. Also, I want to clarify exactly what my curvature looks like. At the base of the penis, it’s fine; however, right before the middle of the shaft, it starts to curve pretty severely in the 20-degree curve. Therefore, it’s not that my penis is simply bent to the left. There is actually a starting point of the curve if that makes sense.
Answer:
Yes, that makes sense. Still, since it is less than 20 degrees I don’t think you have anything to worry about. Your wife will be able to adjust to it easily and sex won’t cause you any pain.
Response:
Thank you!
