What do I do when I accidentally see something inappropriate?

Question:

I don’t really know what to do, just recently I was on YouTube watching videos on a typical day, then I misspelled a word in the search box and what came up was a really disgusting image of a woman exposing her breasts. I then clicked on the video and reported it for sexual content. I ask for some help to rid my mind of what I just saw in the picture. I appreciate all the other responses you’ve given to me and other people.

Thank you so much.

Answer:

There isn’t much you can do. Memories can’t be erased, though they do fade over time if you don’t keep revisiting them in your mind. Find better things to think about, especially when thoughts of it threaten to resurface. “Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy–meditate on these things” (Philippians 4:8).
