Question:
Why am I always tired and sleepy? It’s like I don’t want to leave my room. Is that normal? Does this stop eventually?
Answer:
Growth consumes a lot of energy, so I assume that is why you are sleepy. But there can be other reasons, such as drug use or depression.
There is also a belief that during your teenage years that your internal time clock shifts, so you feel like you have jet lag. You sleep in but are awake at night. I was just reading an article yesterday that said the best way to reset your biological clock is to go camping in the wilderness where there is no artificial light. In just a few days, your body will naturally readjust to getting up with the sun and going to sleep at night.
