Question:

Hi!

I have a few questions. I’m 14. I have a friend who was concerned about his penis length. He told me that flaccid he is one inch and erect he is 2.5 inches and 3 inches around. I measured mine and it is 4 inches flaccid and 6.5 erect with a circumference of 5.5 inches. He had been very embarrassed, but I told him not to worry because he has facial hair, chest hair, and armpit hair. Hair up to his belly button as well. Why is he so much more developed above the waistline but not below?

When I get an erection in school everyone stares, why?

Answer:

You’re making an assumption that bigger means more mature. If you see two men and one is taller than the other, do you assume that the taller one is older and more mature?

Like height, shoe sizes, nose length, and many other parts of the body, penises come in different lengths and widths. The size does not reflect maturity nor does it indicate how well a guy is able to have sex with his wife. Your friend is just as developed below the waist as above. He just happens to have genes that give him a smaller than average penis.

Probably few people would notice that you have an erection since your clothing hides it. However, you notice because you feel the pressure. I suspect that, as a result, you call attention to the fact by trying to get your penis into a more comfortable position. People’s eyes tend to focus on what is moving and when you start plucking at your pants, you focus other people’s attention on your groin.
